浙江教师招考公告浙江教师历年真题32学院免费课程面授班级

I am honored to stand here to share my teaching ideas about how I am going to teach the reading part of Unit 2 Who am I?. My teaching plan include three parts which are analysis of teaching material, identifying of teaching aims, and detailed teaching procedures.

Part 1 Analysis of teaching material

The title of this passage is Who am I? It may be about somebody. But when we finish reading the first sentence, we can know that it talks about something. When we finish reading the whole passage we can get the main idea of the passage: it’s about the history of computer.

Part 2 Identifying the teaching aims

Have been knowing about the main idea of the passage. I will try my best to ensure my teaching method meet the requirement of modern social communication teaching theories and set following three teaching aims for our students.

The first aim that is knowledge aim: master the key words and important expressions of the passage.

The second aim is known as ability aim: get the main idea and detailed information of the passage.

The third aim is emotional aim: know the important role of computer and set the aim to conquer the high-technology.

Part 3 Teaching procedures

In order to achieve the above aims. I choose reading and task-based teaching as my main teaching method as well as using pictures, muti player and recorder for aiding their understanding of the article.

Step 1 Lead-in

1. Greetings

2.Show some pictures about high-technology, including the pictures of computer and laptop. Ask students the question: How does high-technology change our life?

Step 2 Pre-reading

In this step I set three questions to brainstorm students’ minds. The questions are:

1. Who can use computer?

2. What we can do by using computer?

3. Do you know the history of computer?

Step 3 While-reading

1. By listening to the recorder let students get the main idea of the passage: It’s about the history of computer.

2 Careful reading: get the main idea of each paragraph.

Then make a timeline of the computer history:

1642:     as a calculating machine in France

1822:     the analytical machine was made by Charles Babbage

1936:     could be made to work as a “universal machine”

1940s:    had grown as large as a room

1960s:    the first family of computers was connected to each other

1970s:    have been used in offices and homes

Now:     a devoted friend and helper of the human race

Step 4 Post-reading

In this part I will explain the usage of key words and important expressions of the passage. Then let students do some exercises to consolidate what they have learned.
